I, too, loved the first one but...

...I thought the point of this particular animation, ie Story Tag, was that you and Gel took turns on portions of this story so that the outcome was only clear when you both finished it. I really thought that that was what this was all about.

Don't get me wrong, I thought this was very humorous and well animated. It just seems that you and Gel abandoned the concept between part 1 and 2 of this series. Or am I really thick headed? Um, don't answer that...

Great flash, though.

Dustball responds:

You are absolutely right about the Story Tag concept but yes, the confusing thing about this movie is that it is not a Story Tag at all. It's not that we abandoned that concept, we just haven't finished any recently, but this movie is somewhat of an anomaly. The Story Tags usually stay fairly simple, and don't have elaborite emerging plots, exciting, detailed characters, etc. But when gel started Story Tag 2 he drew up characters from an existing clay animation of ours simply as a joke. I continued to add existing characters and a sort of functional story started to miraculously develop! In the end, it played out more like a planned movie than an actual Story Tag. We decided it was getting so long and would take forever to finish along that path so we submitted it as "part one". When it got such a good response I decided maybe it would be best to finish it "for real". Many people, including ourselves were curious to see how the story would play out, but it wouldn't be nearly as coherent if it was to be done Story Tag style. Quite some time later, I had a finished product... but what to call it? The best choice, albeit a confusing one, is "Blown Away: Story Tag 2 part 2" Since that's really what it is: the sequel to Story Tag 2. I'm sad to see it's chances of daily feature getting trampled by some 3D eye candy (you evil dog, you). I really put every last minute of my free time into this movie for several months, and I'm very proud of it.

Nice idea...

I for one am a big fan of Dave Thomas and was slightly dissappointed with his absence from the toon you made. I understand that the way you animated this toon is the style you were going for, and I can't really understand why others are putting you down for your lack of animation on the figures. Santa was frickin' hilarious.

BUT...

What I can't stand is your refutes of others' reviews. Grab a sack of maturity and get over yourself. You gotta admit that there is a tonne of stuff better than your stuff, not that you were trying to make something better than the best submission, and that there are people who are just not going to like what you did. Lots of entertainment critics aren't movie makers or dancers but just regular folks who like to be entertained. Not everyone on Newgrounds is an animator, but they do like toons, and they know what they like. Lighten up....

Yes, they know what they like. That doesn't mean they should use the reviewing process as a discussion board of name calling, and generally useless comments.

And believe me friend, I know a thing or two about taking criticism. I've been making short films for nearly five years.

Cool...

I've only ever submitted one Flash movie (so far and just recently) and I really love the frame by frame stuff. I'm curious about this WACOM tablet...is it expensive and how easy is it to use...let me know.

Thanks!

LudBofton responds:

well first of all check out www.wacom.com :D They're a bit pricey but it's definately worth it. I've only had it for 2 days and already I love it and know how to use it! It's easy and awesome! I suggest one for everyone! they range from 100 - 1,000 dollars...i picked a mid-range one ;D. Payce!

Out of all the brains I've wanted to consume...

there have been only two that have been worth mentioning. One brain would be that of the creator of B&W Drama Theatre and the other would be yours, Jim. Yes, your brain is among the few chosen to be worthy of consumption by me, PezDSpensr. I want your powers and the only way for that to happen is for me to ingest your cerebral cortex and such the marrow from your spine. I do not mean this as an insult...you should consider it an honour. I mean, no one's ever said that they've wanted to eat my brain...I'm so depressed. Where's my amitriptyline?

jim-ether responds:

thats the coolest fucking review ive ever recieved in my entire life . oh my good god . thank you ! that was so god damn cool of you .

keeyute...

that little guy was cute, cute, cute....I could just eat him up. Pretty cool little tricks, but where does one actually click on keith. The only secret I found involde some garbage...whatsupwitdat?

SamGreen responds:

If you look close enough you will see the bum in the garbage bin! thanx

Wowzers! What't the whole thing gonna be like?

The art, the animation, the sound, the effects. How many people are working on this project. Just one thing to say...I ain't never seen a goth with muscle that big...

FDA responds:

hahahah thanx :)
if you look on the site, it has a more thorough list of "who we are". Basically it is Zeebarf and me, however Deese (sinkmeat.com) and Mr. Grifter (A&E Biography) are working with us as well.

Thanx so much for your appreciation!

Hahahahahhahah

hahahahahah----YOU KILLED A CLOCK----hahahahah. Do OlayClock next, PULEEEEEEEEEASE! I'll even take up a collection! And then do YooHooClock! I hate that guy!

Leemurdude responds:

hmmm... I WAS planning for Raspberry, but I suppose I could do OlayClock next. I need to do some research though. By the way, please do not construe me as some sort of clock hating overlord, I have nothing wrong with clock movies as long as they're good.

Nothing gives me more pleasure than ripping a candy from the throat of a Disney character.
